Échecs Costumés
---------------
Vous voulez voir vos personnages préférés se battre entre eux? 
Et bien, grâce aux Échecs Costumés, tout est possible. Personne 
ne sait ce qu'il va arriver alors que les deux joueurs 
manoeuvreront les pièces sur un échiquier géant. Pour cette 
deuxième année à Otakuthon, le thème sera : « les filles contre 
les garçons ».

Si vous êtes intéressé à participer, vous devez soumettre votre 
entrée en écrivant à la directrice des Échecs Costumés 
(cosplaychess at otakuthon.com). Veuillez lire les règlements des 
Échecs Costumés avant de soumettre votre demande. Votre 
inscription doit être envoyée avant le 31 mai 2009!

Hôtes de panels et d'ateliers recherchés

chance! Otakuthon est toujours à la recherche d'hôtes pour

Les hôtes de panels et d'ateliers peuvent recevoir un

Rappel : La préinscription anticipée se termine dans moins 
qu'un mois !

La période de préinscription au coût de 35 $ se termine le 30 
mai 2009. Il sera toujours possible de vous inscrire après 
cette date, mais le coût sera de 40 $ jusqu'au 29 juin 2009. 
Vous pouvez effectuer votre paiement au bureau d'Otaku Anime 
aux dates spécifiées, par PayPal ou par la poste en envoyant un 
chèque ou mandat poste.

Un message s'adressant à ceux qui n'ont pas encore réservé leur 
chambre d'hôtel : il reste encore quelques chambres disponibles

Occupation quadruple : 164 $/nuit (41 $ par personne)
Occupation triple : 154 $/nuit (~ 52 $ par personne)
Occupation double : 144 $/nuit (72 $ par personne)

N'oubliez pas de voter pour votre anime préféré!

Assurez-vous de voter pour vos anime préférés lorsque vous vous 
préinscrivez. Si vous ne l'avez pas fait quand vous vous êtes 
inscrit, vous pouvez ouvrir une session et voter. Les résultats 
seront comptabilisés lorsque la période de préinscription se 
terminera et les titres gagnants seront présentés lors du bloc 
d'animes « Choix du public » le vendredi 31 juillet, de 18 h à 
minuit, pour votre plus grand plaisir ! Assurez-vous donc de 
voter ou votre titre préféré ni s'y trouvera peut-être pas !

Cosplay Chess

Would you like to see your favorite characters battle it out 
with each other? Well, with Cosplay Chess, all of that is 
possible! No one knows what will happen as two chess players 
maneuver human pieces across a giant chessboard. For this 
second year at Otakuthon, the theme will be "Girls VS Guys."

If you are interested in participating, submit your application 
to the Cosplay Chess director at cosplaychess at otakuthon.com. 
Please read the Cosplay Chess Rules before submitting your 
application. Your registration must be sent before May 31st, 
2009.

Call for Panel and Workshop Hosts!

Ever wanted to be the subject matter expert running a 
discussion panel? Or hold a workshop teaching others some 
awesome skill? Well, here's your chance! Otakuthon is always on 
the lookout for hosts for panels and workshops, click here to

on their membership depending on the number of panels or

Reminder: Early Pre-Registration Ends in Less Than a Month!

Early pre-registration at 35$ ends May 30, 2009. After this 
date, pre-registration will be still accepted, but only at the 
40$ rate until June 29, 2009. Payment can be made at the Otaku 
Anime office on the specified dates, by PayPal, or by mailing a 
cheque or money order.

Don't Forget to Vote For Your Favourite Anime!

Be sure to cast your vote for your favourite anime titles when 
you pre-register for the convention. If you didn't fill it out 
earlier, you can still fill it in by logging back into your 
registration. When pre-reg closes, the results will be 
tabulated and the winning titles will shown at the Viewer's 
Choice Anime screening block on Friday, July 31st from 6 pm to 
midnight for all to enjoy! Make sure you vote, since your 
favourite title might not be there if you don't!
