universitaire Thomas Lamarre ne pourra être présent. Nous nous 
excusons pour les désagréments engendrés par cette nouvelle.

Le panel All-Stars Academic sera tout de même présenté par les 
professeurs Marc Steinberg et Martin Picard. Nous espérons vous y 
voir!

Politique de récupération de l'insigne
--------------------------------------
Otakuthon 2013 sera là dans moins d'une semaine! Si vous êtes 
préinscrit, n'oubliez pas d'apporter une pièce d'identité valide avec 
photo ainsi que votre confirmation d'inscription imprimée 
(https://yurika.otakuthon.com/reg/fr/index).

La salle d'inscription (salle 220c) pour la récupération des insignes 
sera ouverte aux dates suivantes :

* Jeudi, 15 août 2013 à partir de 15 h (pour les préinscriptions seulement)
* Vendredi, 16 août 2013 à partir de 12 h
* Samedi, 17 août 2013 à partir de 8 h
* Dimanche, 18 août 2013 à partir de 8 h

Chaque membre doit récupérer son insigne en personne. Nous donnerons 
l'insigne uniquement à la personne inscrite.

Les insignes spéciaux À L'EXCEPTION DES EXPOSANTS (p. ex. : le 
personnel, les invités, les hôtes d'événements, etc.) doivent être 
récupérés dans la ligne des insignes spéciaux À LA DROITE de la salle 
d'inscription.

Les insignes des exposants (p. ex. : les artistes, les marchands et 
les invités de l'industrie) doivent être récupérés dans la ligne des 
exposants À GAUCHE AU FOND de la salle d'inscription.

Il est très facile d'oublier l'existence des règles de base durant le 
festival, surtout lorsque vous vous retrouvez en plein milieu de 
l'action et débordant d'enthousiasme. Veuillez prendre un moment pour 
vous re-familiariser avec nos règlements, afin que tous puissant 
s'amuser de manière sécuritaire pendant Otakuthon:

Brunch du dimanche matin
------------------------
Le brunch aura lieu au Holiday Inn, au niveau S1, dans la salle 
Dahlia. Si vous avez acheté une entrée pour le brunch durant la 
préinscription, veuillez présenter votre insigne à l'entrée le 
dimanche matin à 9 h pour être accepté au brunch. Aucun billet ne 
sera vendu à la porte.

Concours YesStyle
-----------------
Souhaitez-vous explorer de nouvelles manières d'atteindre un style 
plus otaku? Ou préférez-vous simplement étendre vos horizons de la 
mode avec une toute nouvelle tenue?

En collaboration avec son partenaire YesStyle, Otkauthon fera tirer 
deux certificats cadeau YesStyle, d'une valeur de 50$ chacun, à deux 
lauréats pigés au hasard! Pour participer, envoyez un courriel à 
yesstylecontest at otakuthon.com, avec « concours YesStyle » écrit dans 
le champ objet.

Vous devrez également y inscrire votre nom et votre numéro d'insigne. 
Veuillez écrire ARTISTE si vous avez un insigne d'artiste ou 
PERSONNEL si vous avez un insigne de personnel. La période 
d'inscription sera ouverte jusqu'au samedi 10 août 2013, à 23h59.

La préinscription à Otakuthon est obligatoire pour participer. Limite 
d'une inscription par personne. Les gagnants seront contactés par 
courriel et annoncés sur le site Internet d'Otakuthon et sur notre 
page Facebook. Bonne chance!

Levée de fonds d'Operation Hammond
----------------------------------
Otakuthon tiendra une levée de fonds de charité dimanche, le 18 août 
à 11h dans la salle panel 7 (516ab). Cette levée de fonds est une 
excellente opportunité d.acquérir de la merveilleuse marchandise et 
de soutenir une fantastique cause par la même occasion. Les méthodes 
de paiement acceptées pour l.achat de marchandise seront en espèce ou 
par carte de crédit.

Les fonds recueillis cette année iront à Operation Hammond, la seule 
organisation socio-médicale nord-américaine pour les nerds. Pour en 
apprendre davantage à leur sujet, visitez le 
www.operationhammond.com. Vous pourrez aussi les rencontrer pendant 
le festival à leur table dans la Salle d.exposition et durant leurs 
panels.

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, Academic Guest Thomas Lamarre

The All-Stars Academic Panel will still be continuing with professors

Badge Pickup Policy
-------------------
Otakuthon 2013 is coming up in less than a week! If you've 
pre-registered, don't forget to bring a valid photo ID and your printed 
registration confirmation sheet 
(https://yurika.otakuthon.com/reg/en/index).

Badge pickup will be opening up at registration in room 220c on:

* Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 3pm (for pre-registered only)
* Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12pm
* Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 8am
* Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 8am

Each member must pick up his/her own badge in person. Badges will not 
be distributed to anyone other than the registered individual.

Special badges EXCEPT EXHIBITORS (ex: staff, guests, event hosts, 
etc.) must be picked up from the Special Badge Lineup on the RIGHT 
SIDE of the Registration Hall.

Exhibitor badges (ie: artists, dealers and industry guests) must be 
picked up from the Exhibitor Lineup ON THE LEFT AT THE BACK of the 
Registration Hall.

Sunday Morning Brunch
---------------------
The brunch will be held in at the Holiday Inn in the Dalhia room on 
floor S1. If you have purchased the brunch option during 
pre-registration, please present your badge at the entrance on Sunday 
morning at 9am to be admitted to the brunch. No tickets will be sold 
at door.

YesStyle Contest
----------------
Want to explore new ideas that will get you that Otaku-friendly look? 
Or simply looking to expand your fashion horizons with a fresh new 
outfit?

Otakuthon, in collaboration with its partner YesStyle, will be giving 
away 50$ YesStyle vouchers to two very lucky winners at random! To 
enter, just send an email to yesstylecontest at otakuthon.com using the 
subject "YesStyle contest" and include your name and badge number 
(NOTE: write ARTIST if you have an artist badge or write STAFF if you 
have a staff badge).

Entries will be accepted until Saturday August 10, 2013 at 11:59pm. 
You must be pre-registered for Otakuthon to participate. Limit one 
entry per person. Winners will be emailed via email and announced on 
the Otakuthon website and Facebook. Good luck!

Operation Hammond Charity Fundraiser
------------------------------------
Otakuthon will be holding a charity fundraiser auction on Sunday, 
August 18 at 11:00am in Panel 7 (room 516ab).  The Charity Fundraiser 
is an excellent opportunity to pick up some amazing merchandise and 
support both the convention and a fantastic charity at the same time. 
Cash or credit is required to pay for all merchandise.

This year's proceeds go to Operation Hammond, North America's only 
social medical organization for nerds. To find out more about 
Operation Hammond, please visit www.operationhammond.com.  You can 
also visit them at the convention at their table in the Exhibition 
Hall and during their panels.
