1. Convention Dates: Saturday August 4th & Sunday August 5th, 2007

Mark off August 4th and 5th, 2007 on your calendars and clear that
weekend, since Otakuthon will be here soon!  In less than a week,
Otakuthon 2007 will be held at the Concordia University Hall and LB
Buildings.

Featuring more events, more activities, more anime, more gaming and a
bigger artists' and dealers' area, this is an event not to be missed!

2. Pre-registration Bonus Events: Friday August 3rd, 2007
---------------------------------------------------------

For those convention-goers who have pre-registered, you may avoid the rush
on convention day and pick up your badge on Friday, August 3rd, 2007.  As
a bonus to those who pre-registered, there will be two screening rooms and
a gaming room that will be running from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS *ONLY*.

3. At-The-Door Registration
---------------------------

For those who missed the pre-registration deadline, at-the-door
registration will start on Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 am in the LB
Building Atrium at 1400 de Maisonneuve West (the building facing the Hall
building where events were held last year).

The price of a Weekend Badge at the door will be $20.00.

Please note that children age 12 and less must be accompanied by an adult
at all times.

4. Opening Ceremonies
---------------------

The opening ceremonies for Otakuthon 2007 will be held on Saturday morning
at 9:30 am in room H-110 (1st floor, Hall Building auditorium).  There
will be a performance by the cosplay group "Boxed Rice Productions", a
speech from the chairperson, and an introduction of our special guests by
our hostess Officer Jenny.

5. Guest of Honour: Venus Terzo
-------------------------------

Venus Terzo will be our Guest of Honor at Otakuthon 2007.  A
Montreal-native and established actress, she has performed several voice
acting roles:

- female Ranma Saotome from Ranma 1/2,
- Princess Millerna in Vision of Escaflowne,
- Celine Jules in Star Ocean EX,
- Jean Grey in X-Men: Evolutions,
- Black Arachnia in Transformers: Beast Wars,
- Talia Gladys in Gundam SEED DESTINY.

She has also appeared in several television series and movies, most
notably as Detective Angela Kosmo in Da Vinci's Inquest which won her a
Leo award.

Miss Terzo will have a Q & A session starting at 12 noon and an autograph
session starting at 3:00 pm on Saturday August 4, 2007.

* Tickets for the Masquerade and J-Pop Concert must be purchased in

8. Flea Market Cancelled
------------------------

The deadline for the flea market signup has come and passed, but due to
lack of interest and participants, the flea market event has been
cancelled. :(

Encerclez les dates du 4 et 5 août 2007 sur votre calendrier et libérez
votre fin de semaine car Otakuthon arrive à grand pas! En effet, dans
moins d'une semaine, Otakuthon 2007 se déroulera aux pavillons Hall et LB
de l'Université Concordia.

Plus d'événements, plus d'activités, plus d'anime, plus de jeux, une Allée
des Artistes et une Place des vendeurs plus grande que l'an dernier, il
s'agit vraiment d'une occasion à ne pas manquer!

2. Événement boni pour les pré-inscrits : Vendredi le 3 août 2007

Avis aux pré-inscrits : évitez la foule du samedi matin et venez chercher
votre insigne le vendredi 3 août 2007. De plus, vous pourrez profiter de
deux salles de visionnnement et de deux salles de jeux qui seront ouvertes
de 18 h à 22 h.

VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE CETTE OFFRE EST VALIDE POUR LES GENS PRÉ-INSCRITS
*SEULEMENT*.

3. Inscription à l'entrée
-------------------------

Avis à ceux qui ont manqué la pré-inscription; l'inscription à l'entrée
débutera à 9 h le samedi et dimanche à l'Atrium du pavillon LB situé au
1400 de Maisonneuve Ouest (pavillon situé au pavillon Hall dans lequel se
tenait le festival l'an dernier).

Le prix à l'entrée est de 20 $.

Veuillez noter que les enfants de 12 ans et moins doivent être accompagnés
d'un adulte en tout temps.

4. Cérémonie d'ouverture
------------------------

La cérémonie d'ouverture d'Otakuthon 2007 aura lieu samedi matin à 9 h 30
au local H-110 (1er étage, auditorium du pavillon Hall). Vous pourrez
assister à une perfomance du groupe de cosplay « Boxed Rice Productions »,
entendre le discours de la présidente et aussi, l'officier Jenny vous fera
une courte introduction.

5. Invitée d'honneur : Venus Terzo
----------------------------------

Venus Terzo sera notre invitée d'honneur à Otakuthon 2007. Née à Montréal
et actrice accomplie, elle tenu les rôles de :

- Ranma (fille) Saotome dans Ranma 1/2,
- Princesse Millerna dans Tenkuu no Escaflowne,
- Celine Jules dans Star Ocean EX,
- Jean Grey dans X-Men: Evolutions,
- Black Arachnia dans Transformers: Beast Wars,
- Talia Gladys dans Gundam SEED DESTINY.

Elle a aussi campé de nombreux rôles dans des séries télévisés et dans des
films, dont le personnage de la détective  Angela Kosmo dans Da Vinci's
Inquest, ce qui lui a valu un prix Leo.

Samedi le 4 août 2007, une session de questions et réponses en compagnie
de madame Terzo débutera à 12 h et une session d'autographes aura lieu à
partir de 15 h.

8. Annulation du Marché au puces
--------------------------------

La date limite pour l'inscription au Marché aux puces est terminé et à
cause de faible taux d'inscriptions, le Marché aux puces est annulé. :(
