Sortez votre calendrier et encerclez la fin
de semaine du 26 et 27 juillet 2008, car Otakuthon est de retour pour sa
troisième édition! Cette année, le festival sera dans un nouvel
endroit : le Palais des congrès de Montréal! Le Palais se situe
seulement à quelques pas du quartier chinois et à quelques minutes du
centre-ville. De plus, oubliez vos protections contre la pluie, le
soleil, la neige et les cadeaux des oiseaux car le Palais des congrès
est directement relié au métro Place d'Armes!<BR><BR>Si vous voulez
avoir une idée de la disposition des lieux ou seulement avoir des
informations supplémentaires au sujet du Palais des congrès, n'hésitez

<STRONG>Toujours plus grand, toujours meilleur et TOUT SUR UN SEUL
ÉTAGE!</STRONG><BR><BR>De retour pour une troisième année, Otakuthon
sera à nouveau l'hôte des événements suivants : la fameuse
Mascarade, la compétition Otakuthon Idol, la danse du samedi soir, le
Concours d'AMV, la Remise des prix AMV et plus encore... Aussi, vous
n'aurez pas besoin de courir d'un étage à l'autre comme un hamster
hyperactif afin d'assister à tous ces événements. À la place, vous serez
un festivalier hyperactif courant sur un seul étage pour passer d'un
événement à un panel, d'un panel à une projection d'anime, d'une
projection d'anime à l'aire des jeux vidéo et de l'aire des jeux vidéos
à la Place des artistes et des vendeurs où vous pourrez trouver tous ces
articles essentiels et autres rares trésors pour lesquels vous pourrez
échanger votre argent. :)<BR><BR>

En groupe de quatre à huit personnes, vous devrez exéxecuter la danse performée lors du dernier épisode de Lucky Star.
<b>Vous devez enregistrer votre danse sur vidéo et nous soumettre celle-ci au plus tard le vendredi 27 juin 2008</b>.
Évidemment, comme vous aurez deviné, les heureux élus n'auront pas à débourser pour accéder au festival. En plus, ils se verront remettre un prix. Mais attendez, il y a plus encore! Les gagnants auront aussi l'honneur de danser sur scène lors de la cérémonie d'ouverture du 26 juillet 2008!<BR><BR>

Get out your calendars and circle the weekend of
July 26th and July 27th, 2008 because Otakuthon is back again for its
third year! This year, the convention will be at a new location: the
Palais des congrès de Montréal! It's only a few steps away
from Chinatown and a few minutes away from downtown! And you won't even
need to bring an umbrella for the rain, the sun, the snow or the bird
drops since the convention center is directly connected to the Place
d'Armes metro!<BR><BR>If you want to have an idea what the convention
place looks like or simply for more information about this new venue,

<STRONG>It's bigger, better, and ALL ON ONE FLOOR!</STRONG><BR><BR>
Back again for its third year, Otakuthon returns
bringing with it the Masquerade, the Otakuthon Idol Competition, the
Saturday Night Dance, the AMV Contest Screening & Award Show and
much more. And this year, you won't need to run like a
hyperactive hamster up and down several escalators to attend all
these events. You will be a hyperactive fan running on one floor
from event to panel, panel to anime screening, anime screening to video
gaming area, video gaming area to the vast Dealers' and Artists'
Areas where you might find all those "must have" treasures and
other rare items that you can trade your currency for. :) <BR><BR>

You know you want it. And very soon, you'll

<STRONG>Lucky! Lucky!! First prize is free access to Otakuthon!</STRONG><BR><BR>
Ready? Three, two, one and dance! This year, Otakuthon is more than happy to
present you a brand new contest that might please more than one fan. It's a
Lucky Star Dance competition!<BR><BR>
In groups of four to eight people, you'll be performing the dance as seen in
the last episode of Lucky Star. <b>A video of your dance must be made and then submitted
to us by Friday, June 27, 2008</b>. Of course, as you might already suspect, the
winners will get to enjoy the convention for free. They also get a prize package.
And wait! They also get to perform on stage during the Opening Ceremonies on
July 26th 2008!<BR><BR>
